Nordic Walking Weekends and Regular Classes
Nordic Walking is a fun way of building up cardio-vascular fitness without feeling the strain!
The Technical Bit: Using Nordic Walking poles, it enables the participant to walk without putting pressure on the bones - particularly good if injury or surgery has taken place - the poles take over 80% of the body weight enabling you to walk effectively and further which is excellent for rehabilitation and great for all ages.
For example, Susie’s oldest client was 84 . A prolific walker in the past, she had two hip replacements and was devastated not to be able to walk properly. After completing a 4-day residential course she was able to stride out, using her poles ascending and descending hills as she used to and felt that she had regained control of her life and renewed confidence in her body.
